Just having a whinge.

If I see another Facebook update about a dead cat I think I will scream. Two of my "friends" have been in this position recently and I replied with a nice sorry etc.
However, suddenly realised that neither of them even bothered to contact me when I posted about my mum.
I do understand pets are part of the family but really.

Agreed. Pets are not important - mothers are. So sorry you have lost yours. They will, however, only understand when, inevitably, the too suffer a catastrophic loss.
