My dh's bestfriend died very suddenly last week, he was only 38.

He was creamated yesterday and today i feel like we need to do something in his memory, we could give a donation to a charity in his name but i would rather do something more living if that makes sense.

Can we have a tree planted in his name somewhere or do something meaningful??

Would be greatful for any suggestions.

I'm very sorry to hear of your DH's loss.

I've just googled living memorials and several websites have come up so that may be worth a try.

It may be a little corny but what about a bench somewhere your DH and friend used to go, for example by the river if they went fishing, in the local park if they played or watched the football (probably a bit expensive now I think about it) or somewhere similar.

Name a star after him? That might be nice for his family.

Whatever you decide I hope you find the right thing.
