Lovely Dad

Hello,
Just need to write this somewhere - my lovely lovely Dad diesel yesterday. He was 74 and a big part of my life and my two children's live. Although he had health problems in the past, he had been fine. He was a staunch Catholic and collapsed in church which is giving us all some comfort. I'm just so so sad for all the things he will miss and my children will miss in having a lovely lovely grandad. Life can be so unfair - my kids are only 4 and 1. And 74 is no age these days.

Well, it feels a bit more real writing it down. My mum died 11 years ago - it's bringing it all back too. Life eh?

So sorry to hear that, NoPink. I dread the day my Dad passes away, he is 78 now and still relatively hale and hearty but who knows what can happen?

Very :( for you and your children - it is such a loss for you all.
Lots of love
xx

NoPinkPlease, I did Shock at your OP, then laughed at your generous and humorous re-take. A reminder that life, and typos, go on. :)

My dad was RC and died appositely, having just been confessed, in hospital, by the passing priest. Like yours he wasn't that old by today's standards - 72.

Sorry for your loss.

I will pray for him, you & your DC at this awful time. Hugs.

hi
I feel for you, my situation is similar. My dear Dad died a week ago today (19th) in very sad circumstances and I'm struggling. My Mum died 12 years ago and I had 'forgotten' how crap I felt at the time but this is bringing it all back. I'm only 35 so feel a bit cheated to be honest.

We were lucky the priest came to the hospital and annointed Dad a few hours before he died as he was a staunch RC too. He died in August. My dad was 70. xxx Thinking of you xxxxxx
