Lost my last remaining parent this year and I am dreading Christmas. Just can't focus on it at the mo. Have arranged to spend xmas day with in-laws and Boxing day with sis and bro.
So sad as normally I love Christmas. Really want to visit parent's grave at some point too but dc not keen.
How will I get through this?

can you plan yourself a little you-time after the in-law's to spend thinking about your parents, getting the photo albums out, thinking of happy times you had, visiting their grave. Nowt morbid but just some time to reflect and have a sniffle.

And talk to you parents, tell them you are thinking about them and missing them.

It's going to be hard, accept that you are going to hurt, miss them and be sad at times. But don't let it take over x
