hormone level after d&c

how long does it take for the pregnant hormone to get out of your system? It has been three weeks and I have done numerous home tests and they still have a faint positive line. Also, how many d&c's are safe to have? I have two in a row and if I miscarry again( both have been incomplete) and I need a d&c will it be safe?

melliek Hi! Both times it has taken 6-8 weeks for my hormones to come back down! i had a test at 8 weeks after and got 20hcg's. They went compltetly by the following week as my boobs didn't tingle anymore etc...
As for D and C's lesley Reagan reckons it's ok, she knows women who have had many more. It's just infection or tearing that make it a problem I beleive, Mears might be able to shed light on this though. I got an infection afetr but fortunately caught it in time, my D and C was even incomplete and I was sent for another. Fortunately just before I was scanned again and all had gone, so didn't need it. Has anybody had a partial mole pregnancy? I feel very unlucky as I had an ectopic last year, and molar pregnancy last month. It feels like I will never have a normal pregnancy

Cecillia I am so sorry that you have had so much bad luck. I had a partial molar about 12 years ago so I know how unpleasant it is. It took me a while to get over it - I was only very young and then I unfortunately lost another baby but then I had a healthy pregnancy and now have a 3 year old little boy. There is light at the end of the tunnel just make sure that in your next pregnancy medical staff look after you. My Midwife and GP were brilliant. I hope this gives you hope.
