My daughter

She was stillborn at 34 weeks almost five years ago. Today she would have started school.... I feel stupidly sad. She died a baby so she was never going to go to school but I am still struggling to keep it together today.
At least I had her for 34 weeks..

I'm so sorry. I was just sitting here thinking about my best friends' daughter who died a few hours after birth, also almost five years ago. Hope this time treats you gently.

Hi,so so sorry to hear about your loss.

I lost my baby on 1/1/11. 4 weeks ago. He was absolutely perfect.

Its such a difficult thing to go through and it changes your life completely.

I hope you have found the strength to get through today. I keep thinking atleast my baby died in his mummies tummy,all safe and warm.xxxxxx

I am going to buy some of those Chinese lanterns and let them off when it's her birthday... It's just a question of finding ways to cope

Thinking of you.

The lanterns - that's such a lovely idea, do you mind if I borrow it for my daughter's memorial day? (We decided to remember her on her due date, which was also the day we scattered her ashes, as we don't want her twin sister's birthday to always be sad.
I might bet lots and lots of the cow-friendly ones (no metal) and we can make it an annual tradition. Only if you don't mind though. :)

Of course I don't mind that's lovely. It's a very good idea to have a different day... I used to write a message on a balloon and let that go but her sister always cried because she wanted the balloon.

applehead, tobytoes, loopy, I'm so very sorry for your losses.

I'm so moved by your posts - I had two early MCs and nearly went demented with grief, and I can't begin to imagine what you have all suffered. I hope that you have lots of support in RL and are able to cope on these difficult anniversaries.

I lost my beloved DS this past Christmas - he lived for an hour.

Apple, you're not being silly - part of me is grieving for the life I hoped DS would live and milestones like learning to read, watching him toddle are things I am so sad I'm going to miss, IYSWIM.

Karen you poor thing. Sad today as well with what's happened to Amanda Holden, imagine going through this in the public eye.

I am so sorry - and for tobytoes and anyone else who has lost a child . The lanterns idea is lovely (I have a tree in garden for my son who I lost at 21 weeks)
