with dd2 and a girl there was due this week...
when her daughter turned up with grandma we were all so excited, but then found out that mum had had a stillbirth yesterday afternoon.
Everything was normal and okay, she had contractions etc.. yesterday morning, then they did a scan and couldn't find the heartbeat and she had to deliver the baby stillborn.
I am crying now as I write this... I don't know the girl that well, just through 2 terms of trampolining at our local sports centre, and her dd (4) is friendly with my dd.
I didn't know what to say to the grandma - she was clearly upset, but I wanted to send my love and thoughts to the mum.
What she must be going through I cannot imagine.
Should I send a card?? She doesn't really know me, except as Lottie's mum at trampoling

Yes send a card, and a little note offering to help, can you collect her DD and take her to trampolining ?? as she may not be up to it herself for a few weeks.

It would be really nice to send a card, I think you should do it.

How heartbreaking .
