My Cousin

I found out yesterday my cousin died he was 35.

He hanged himself...

Oh very un mumsnetty hugs!

I'm sure someone will be along with advice soon, but I didn't want this to go unanswered.

I keep thinking about his mum and sister...

Mum, no words of advice, but I am so so sorry for your loss. What an awful, terrible shock for you and for his Mum and sister. xxx

Bereavement is hard enough without having to deal with all of the questions suicide asks...

No advice to give you,just wanted to say how sorry I am to hear your bad news.

So sorry.
Any death is hard to bear, but with suicide there is so much more to deal with, the guilt, the what ifs.
There are some great counsellors out there.
We had to go through this with a family member.

He went to his mum's on Wednesday and told her how he felt...she made sure he was admitted to a secure unit...but he got out..

Thank you everyone for your support...I just can't get my head around it and i feel guilty I haven't seen him for a while we were so close when we were young...like brothers and sisters...

Do you live near his mum? Does she have family with her at the moment?

I went to see her yesterday I left work early... she just kept repeating 'My son is dead' what can you say?...she has her daughter with her and my mum and sister are there today...she has other members of family and friends...

You just want to take the pain away but you can't...
