My friend has been at her dad's funeral today and will be staying on with her mum for a few days. Wondering whether I should send her a text to let her know she's in my thoughts. Should I?

Haven't been in this situation myself, but sounds a good idea to me. I think I'd be touched by a gesture like this.

Text is a fab idea. I didn't really want to talk to anyone when my Dad died in Jan but friends sent text and cards which felt like someone else was thinking about me.

yes

A text isn't as invasive as a phone call. Will be lovely for her to know she is being thought of.

Thanks you. Just what I wanted to hear. Will do it now.

Agree that this is a tactful way of letting her know you are thinking about her without intruding. She can respond or not as she feels.
