Hi,
I've recently loss my brother, 18 months after our dad died so as you can imagine I'm struggling a little at the mo. On top of this, DP and I have been having a tough time and I don't feel like I have the energy or inclination to approach any of this yet. I have asked DP to move out for a while and he has agreed to this. I am due to start counselling next week, and my GP is being very supportive so I don't feel I need much more support right now. DP would like to understand more about how I am feeling and has asked if there are any books available. Sort of trawling through amazon, I don't really know what to suggest - does anyone have any recommendations?

Sorry I can't suggest any books but I'm sure there must be one. My brother died suddenly followed by my dad (also suddenly) about 18 months later, so I know it does get better.

'You'll get over it: the rage of bereavement' by Virginia Ironside is quite good and readable - it doesn't just focus on losing a partner (as some of the other bereavement books do) so it might be a good one for your circumstances.
