How long does it take for adult teeth to come through?

Dd is 5.8 and has lost 2 of her baby teeth, with another starting to become really wobbly. The first one was lost two weeks ago but no sign yet of adult tooth appearing - how long does it take? Just wondering as soon dd is going to have 3 teeth missing from the front of her mouth, which'll make eating hard work!

thanks

did the baby teeth come out quite slowly ( over a few weeks ) or did dd wriggle them out ?

Came out quite slowly - they were wobbly for maybe two months. Does it make a difference?

DD1 lost a top front tooth on new years eve. The adult tooth still hasn't appeared! the one next to it came out about a month later and is just coming through. she ended up with 3 top teeth missing and one bottom tooth! She hasn't had too much trouble eating.

DD2 (6.11) has teeth like tombstones at the moment. They seem to fall out, then not be replaced for months and months.

She somehow manages on the eating front, except apples!

DS (6.9 ) has lost two bottom ones but the new ones grew behind them so you scarcely noticed when he lost them. His best friend, however, has had gaps in his two front teeth all year.

Apart from the obvious apples, most stuff can be chewed from the sides. DS had sore teeth whilst the new ones were growing behind so I had to start off his apples for him.

Thanks all - that's reassured me. I had no idea gaps could last so long!
