Hello Everyone, I'm new to Mumsnet, this is my first post

I need tome advice on bedtimes, my DS was 6 weeks prem, he's now 5 months old and bedtime is becoming a nightmare, he fights his sleep, you can clearly see he's tired, he rubs his eyes and turns his head to the side....

he won't sleep easy and cries, struggles, rolls.. its getting me down. He used to love being swaddled as he still has the startle reflex but due to the weather im unable to do this

Has anyone got any tips? Looking forward to talking with you all.

Hi - my DS was the same around this age. Was really fighting the swaddle but when not swaddled was waking himslef with his startle reflex and pulling on his face. We started to half swaddle him and then also used something called a peke moe from New Zealand, that stopped him pulling at his face. However I think it was more just time that helped him. Mainly during this time I just used to feed him to sleep and then cuddle him till he was deeply asleep and put him down.
