How much naked/nappy free time do you give your baby?

As the title asks..

DD loves being naked and we quite often (after the older ones have gone to bed, put a towel down on her playmat and let her have some naked time. She totally loves it, seems to know it is coming (2mths) and lays there kicking and smiling and chatting. It is good for her to get some freedom in movement of her legs as she is in cloth nappies and she just really seems to enjoy it. She now puts her feet down and spins around on the floor. She will start of facing one way and end up facing another by pushing herself around as she kicks so much!!!

As toddlers my boys also seemed to run around naked alot - I think they like the breeze!!

(I think it is also recommended for nappy rash?)

Anyway, I was just wondering if it is just my kids who seem to have the nudist gene or ifother babies like it as well? Do you let them do it often?

(obviously we no longer let the olderones run around naked and the baby is not naked when we have visitors!! And we always make sure she isnt cold!)

mine dont really have any apart from bath, getting dry from bath, changing nappies etc but they havent got any nappy rash if they did i suppose i would have to do it.
but if your dd enjoys it and you are happy with it then why not? no need to worry about it i think

Oh! I am not worried about it, I was just wondering! DD doesnt have nappy rash either, but I thought it might of been a reason that people did it rather than just the baby enjoying it iyswim?

about an hour a day. She's 20 months. Today she was naked for pretty much most of the day in the garden.

Never. In a flat with no garden.

As much as possible. We have a garden but also hard floors so any accidents are easy to mop (she only poos in the morning so afternoons are pretty safe!) If it's warm then she loves being naked!

not much, mine tends to pee everywhere

My 4.5 month old DS has a habit of peeing everywhere if I do this, but I do try to put towels down around him when he's without a nappy on his change mat. We don't do it everyday, just when I remember!

My mum said that when myself and my siblings were young (in the 1980s) the advice she was given was to let babies be nappy-less for 10 mins after each nappy change.

I suppose there's no real right or wrong, just whatever works for you and your DCs.

DD was born in Oman so VEEEERRRRRYYYYY hot, she spent as long as possible naked and still loves doing the nudey dudey dance to the bath most nights. She's now 9.

Hmm. I wonder if country you live in or how you were raised determines whether you do it or not?

I gave DS naked time before a bath - so let him kick about. Now he can crawl, I do it less often as he tends to crawl, stop for a pee on the carpet in the hallway, then crawl some more

Did have him naked in the paddling pool in the garden though which he loved.
