My 7mo eats more than my 3.5yo

Says it all really. DD2 is going great guns are weaning and will eat anything you put in front of her.

DD2 has always been a slow feeder (BFs used to take an hour), but was great on solids until she was about 2. Then she got fussy. We've been through ignoring to the point that she was listless and lethargic through lack of calories. We tried giving her targets to eat x amount which worked for a while. Then we went back to ignoring. Now, she decides before she sits down whether she is going to eat or not, especially at dinner time. She only ate tonight because MIL had given her a packet of yoghurt fruit flakes for after tea, only if she ate it all. I don't put much on her plate. Not even the sight of her baby sister scoffing everything has changed her attitude.

Sigh.

She's the smallest in her pre-school class of 60, which makes me wonder if I should start becoming concerned.

She'll scoff breakfast though, as a general rule.

How much are you giving her as a portion? How much do you expect her to eat?

Is she fussy or is it just the amount that bothers you?

My 3 year old ds goes through phases like this, I do find that he is a painfully slow eater and constantly needs reminding to keep chewing etc, which sounds like I am nagging but he genuinely needs to be spurred on or else he is just not interested.

I tried ignoring, bribing etc, nothing really works when he is in one of those 'i'm not going to eat' moods.

Sorry I've been no help whatsoever!

yy yesterday I made stir fry and she asked for carrot and pepper as I was chopping, but didn't touch anything other than noodles on her plate.

Humph.
