Does anyone else's baby try to eat their mouth?

My baby is fascinated by people's (especially my) mouths. She constantly sticks her fingers in there, but the oddest thing is that she trys to kind of chew on my mouth- kind of throwing her face at me with her mouth open.

Is it that she is looking for food? She is 7mo, bf and blw. DD1 didn't do this, or if she did, I've forgotten!

It is really cute, but a bit distracting when you are trying to do something and there is a baby trying to eat your tongue :D

hahaha yes! i can't remember if my eldest 2 did this, but the youngest does

it's quite disgusting at times when you end up covered in slobber

plantsitter · 28/06/2010 22:03

It's a kiss!

This is yesterday- or when you get sticky fingers covered in baby slobber and chewed up food shoven in your mouth while you are trying to eat your own tea...

yes babies are designed to look or the dark spots like your nipple (thats why they get darker) so newborns often do this. They think your mouth is a boob!

BUT at 7 months I would think it is a kiss to!

Shoven?? SHOVEN???!!??

It's a new word. Honest...

I'm so glad it's not just me that appears to get head-butted and chewed on at the same time!
