Has anyones child been born with teethbuds and/or teeth?

DD (8ish weeks) was born with 4 teeth buds. Thiw was confirmed by the HV. They are not the 'normal' first teeth, but seem to be eye teeth on the top and two random ones at the bottom.

For the last two days she has been displaying classic 'teething' symptoms, so wondered if this could be teething (the buds, not the front 'normal' ones) ?

I know lots of people dont believe in the teething symptoms thing, but I thought it might explain the recent change in behaviour/temperement. She has been having more poos of the explosive type, restless and irritable, not sleeping (she slept for all of an hour this morning!) constantly wanting to feed.

Also, she has never taken to a dummy (but we have been trying) and she actually CHEWS on it! She isnt interested in sucking it at all, ut will happily chomp while we hold it there! It is this that made us think she might be!

So if your child was born with teeth buds, were they the front ones? Did they get those teeth first? And if your child was born with teeth, were they the front ones and did the teeth come in in the expected order after that?

DD2 have teeth bud for her canines and she just pierced the 2 bottom front teeth at 5 months. Canine buds are still there. She has had sings of theething from about 1 month old. So it can take a while. I remember it from DD1 too, between the 1st sign of teething and the actual tooth being there it seemed quite long.
My grand mother was born with a tooth, and I had my first one at 2 months. All teeth came out in the expected order for all of us.
