ds 2.7 constantly throwing - need tips

I need some tips to stop my ds throwing everything. He has always been a strong willed boy and I have tried various things to stop or at least reduce the throwing incidents. nothing has worked, and i am sick of my own voice. i have tried ignoring him too.

I think he has increased his throwing since dd2 arrived 7 weeks ago and his need for attention. dh spends a lot of 1-1 time with him and I do during the day when I can.

He is a boisterous, energetic boy who is constantly on the go; if I turn my back for a second he can be throwing stones from the garden into the road or similar.

Is it a phase (a long one?)

What can I do to stop / reduce this?

It sounds like he is on a trajectory schema. I found this website which will explain it a bit and offer some extension activities that will allow you to help him express himself in ways that won't drive you crazy.
