Swimming

I'm planning on taking my 14 week old swimming to an outdoor pool this weekend and the temp of the pool is 26 degrees. We already go to Waterbabies lessons in a pool that is about 30 degrees. Does anyone know if it's ok to take a 14 week old baby to a pool of 26 degrees in just some trunks? I know the weather is going to be baking....

Hope it's shaded? Babies under 6 months aren't supposed to be exposed to direct sunlight. Otherwise I would have thought it was fine - you'll soon notice if s/he is cold.

Yes, boiled baby is fine don't forget the factor 2 suncream

I would be concerned about the sun's rays being reflected on to your babies skin. My dd burned once in about 10 mins in an outdoor pool when she was 6 yo . Luckily no lasting damage but a baby's skin is much more delicate.

Put your DC in a UV suit, sunglasses and one of those frilled hats and smother him/her in factor 50 on the exposed bits. And only keep him/her out in the heat for a few minutes.

Don't bother.
