2.4yr old DD wont use a cup?

Hi,

May not seem a big problem but its starting to really annoy me now...

DD1 is 2.4 and still uses a beaker, ive tried many times using a cup and she takes a few sips then pours it on the floor and says 'uh oh'. I tell her that its naughty and ask her to help me clean it up, which she does most times without a hassle.

Should she be using a cup now?
How can i get her to drink nicely from a cup?

Any advice appriated

the answer is to not make a fuss when she tips it over - she has worked out that if she tips over her drink then she gets massive attention. Clever girl !

just clean up without comment and persist

Why on earth should she be using a cup if she doesn't want to? Give her a beaker until she asks for a cup. Problem solved.

i would just give her a lidded cup

or, give her an open cup with only a minute amount in the bottom. if she tips it up just give her a cloth to wipe it up with and then give her a cup with a lid on instead
