DD2 can't cope without DD1

DD1 is almost 4 - goes to preschool every morning and full time in Sept.

DD2 has just turned 2. A very outgoing child she has never been lacking in confidence. Until about a month ago. Now if DD1 isn't around she gets the collywobbles and freaks out over the smallest thing until DD1 comes home at lunchtime again.

Its driving me nuts.
I know she's just 2 and being terrible and that she WILL grow out of it, but aarrrggghhh.

Any words of advice or is it just going to get worse in Sept when DD1 is out all day at school.

Sorry if I don't reply immediately. The battery on my computer is about to run out and I can't find the power lead.

Can you, temporarily at least, do something that is "very special" for just you and her? So she has something exicting to look forward to. She might be jealous that big sister has an existing adventure of her own every day at the moment.

I do take DD2 out to things on a morning. Playgroups twice a week and library storytime once a week. She likes doing these, but its just when we do something just a LITTLE bit different (go through a different door or something as trivial as that) that she kicks off big time.

She's in bed at the moment, only had 6 major meltdown tantrums today, and I'm having a rest from her.

I love her dearly, when she's good she's so cute, but I could disown her so easily when she's bad.....
