5 month old indigestion - gaviscon?

hi

my nearly 5 month old is a delightful little thing but he really suffers with indigestion. he doesn't have any problems with getting burps up at feeds (bottle fed) but throughout the day he will have a cry and i know he's in pain with indigestion. he rarely cries apart from that.

i use Cow & Gate Comfort. i've tried Gaviscon but it was a real faf making it up and trying to feed him it after a feed. my friend said mix it in with his milk so i tried this today but it seemed to stop him drinking - he only took 2 oz. i made up some more milk in another bottle and he took that fine (without Gaviscon).

any one have any suggestions? it doesn't stop him sleeping at night and he's often happy so i'm reluctant to take him to the GP as i'm not sure they'd take me seriously as it doesn't seem that severe, however i hate seeing him in pain from it.

look forward to hearing any comments/advice.

thanks!

Sorry should have added, he also 'sicks up' bits of milk throughout the day, but i remember his older brother doing this and he was constantly in a bib til about 9 months!

Hi, Im not sure your situation is still the same, but my little boy was exactly the same from about 4 months. I found that the Cow and Gate Comfort actually made him worse and when i changed to regular Cow and Gate he was fine. I know all babies are different, but at the time i read a few reviews on Cow and Gate Comfort and they all seemed to be experiencing the same issues.
Just a thought, hope it helps. x
