Dental delay

My gorgeous DGD is almost 17 months old, and has not a tooth in her head. What's the oldest you've heard a child start teething? I gather as with all developmental milestones, there is enormous variation and nothing to be done about it, but I've not heard of this degree of delay before!

I'm a dentist.
Stop worrying!

It is not that uncommon
Hope this helps

We're not worried Jasper! Just intrigued. I asked my dentist about this (a 40+ year old single fellow) and he had no idea about what was normal ! But he admitted he preferred adult dentistry.
