referral2paed physio

hi my lovely20month old dd was referred by gp4physio as she isnt walking yet.
that was on1st april&as yet have heard nothing about an app4her.
we have had a receipt of referral from them2wks ago saying they r discussing among the team whos best2see her&that we will be hearing from them shortly.
is this normal4it2take so long?hv thought it would be8wks max&gp4!
it will be11wks thurs since referral!
its very frustrating!!!!!!

keep phoning and asking them. I know it sounds like pestering. but if anything is wrong, then early intervention is vital for the optimal outcome.

I agree to try calling them regularly. Alternatively if you can afford it then you could always go privately?

It can take a while - we waited a couple of months for physio I think. I did phone a few times just to check they hadn't forgotten about us! Sometimes they wait for area paediatric meetings to discuss which cases will be referred to which services e.g. physio/OT/Portage etc.

Good luck - hope you don't have to wait too much longer..
