Dunno whats up with her she has gone from being perfect to screaming constantly, wont sleep either had us awake at 4:30am this morning, as far as i can make out she isnt teething, no dribbling no red cheeks. She moans all the time and when put in bed she screams, she used to go to bed fine sleep 7-7 but now we are lucky if she goes to bed before 10pm then she is awake between 4:30 and 5:30am...

Im thinking she has somehow lost her routine, but how do i get it back when she is refusing to sleep! Im shattered (got a 4yo ds too) and can barely function atm!

someone help please!

With her being 9 mo, have you added something to her diet recently?

However, I would say that what with light nights and early mornings, small ones do wake earlier at this time of year, it may just be something you have to live through. My DS1 was a regular 5.30/6am waker in the summertime at that age.

Sorry it's not much help, but at least you're not ignored any more.

There is a very common 8/9 month sleep regression which isn't much fun: see here and here. It will pass, but there's not much you can do about it at the moment.

On the links, Moxie makes the point that what you need to do is not worry too much about getting the baby to sleep / keeping to a routine, but concentrate on enabling the adults in the house to get as much sleep as possible so you can cope with it.

Perhaps you and DH could take shifts at night. Are you bf? Might temporary co-sleeping help? Is there anyone who could look after your DS for an hour or two in the day so that you and DD can nap?

no im not bf-ing stopped when she was 12 weeks old, think i cracked it yesterday, for a start a tooth popped through yesterday afternoon after i had posted lol...

and i gave her some weetabix before bed last night (she loves it) and she slept til 7am! possibly just hunger that was waking her up, she refuses any milk during the day except he morning botle, have tried everything, cold, hot in bottle in beaker etc wont drink it. so may start feeding her some sort of brekkie before bed because it worked last night!

thanks for your help both of you!
