Has anyone heard of a 12month old with no teeth at all and no sign of any?My friend's grandson is in this position and I am hoping to reassure my friend that he will be fine.

A friend of mine's son didn't get his first tooth until he was 14 months old. He started walking at 10 months. Reassure her that it's very normal, also the later later they get them, the longer they last.

I had none till I was over 2 (dentist x rayed me because started to get worried I was never going to get any). and I'm normal
DS got his 1st at 11 months, dd got 1 at 13 months, still only got 6 at 18m. Normal.

DD was 15 months before she got a tooth (a molar!). Now she has nine (19 months).

My nephew cut his first tooth at 13 months. He's a perfectly normal 6 year old now, with completely normal teeth!

Oh thank you so much-she just called for coffee and I was able to show her your replies.

my DD is 12mo and doesn't have any (i can see them behind her gums though). I'm not remotely worried about it.

The UCO got hers at 12 months and I was glad it was this late as I was breastfeeding!
