Shouting

My dd seems to shout all the time rather than speaking. I have tried everything I can think of including refusing to answer unless she speaks properly. I feel like my nerves are jangling with it and I am really worried about disturbing others. I have reached the irrational stage of wanting to scream at her to shut up which would obviously be counter productive. Can anyone advise me on how to deal with this?

Have you had her ears checked? Children with glue ear often shout.

I took her to the drs but he said I was imagining things because she was quiet in the surgery come to think of it maybe I should go to one of the other partners and insist they check her ears properly.
