6.9 yo DS still wetting the bed - Help!

My DS is very nearly 7 and has recently been invited for a sleepover at his best friends house. The only problem is he wets the bed nearly every night.

He's not embarrassed by it, but I think I can't really let him go and then for him to have an accident in front of his friend - not to mention the other mother!!!

I restrict drinks from 5pm and make sure he goes to the loo before bed, but to no avail.
Any suggestions?

No suggestions I'm afraid because we tried everything. DS2 (nearly 11) wet the bed a lot up until about the age of 8. Last time he had an accident was last August - he wet he bed during the night right down to the mattress - the next morning we were driving down to Gatwick to catch our plane to go on holiday!

How about you secretly buy some Pampers bedmats and get your friend to put them under the sheets without anyone seeing.

Another suggestion is to suggest to him that he wear some of those 'pyjama pants' things for that night only, and you could put a pair inside his pj bottoms so it looks like he's just putting his pjs on as normal?
