DD (4 1/2 months) been teething v slowly for about a month & dribbling & drooling like mad. Her chin had become a bit spotty but now has red blistery patches which seem a bit sore & to add general grizzliness. Asked the chemist if there was anything that I could get to put on her face but he was a bit hopeless. Has anyone found anything that could calm the face down?

sudocrem

also, vaseline smeared will provide a bit of a barrier between the rivers of dribble and her skin

I have been trying Avent Magic Cream and Green Baby Nappy Balm alternately on DS2 (nearly 4 months)and it seems to be having some effect.

I would dry the area and then smother with vaseline, and just repeat this now and again as it keeps getting wet. It's a great barrier and so will give the sore patches chance to heal.

A HV once told me to avoid using sudocrem anywhere but on bum (she wasn't even keen on it for that!) as it is too harsh and drying.
