DD2 took a dummy at around 3 months and just uses it in evening mainly going off to sleep, she is still on the mamm first size 0-2 months, next size seems huge on her, she is quite little, just turned 6 months, she only likes the small one, never used a dummy before so just wanted to check its not going to do any damage keeping with the first size??

AFAIK it doesn't matter - I think it's the teat size that is different and the shield size is the same?

DS who is nearly three uses his little sister's baby dummies at night time sometimes with no problems.

the sheild size is bigger too - probably to help prevent choking if the smaller dummy manages to fit inside the mouth of a larger baby

oh good point dont think it could but will check

avent ones increase in size bth teat and shield. fairly sure my DS (9.5) could get a newborn one in sideways now. someone posted on here a while ago about tommee tippee ones getting stuck in the mouth also. probably is worth upgrading!

Feel bad now! Mine get whichever one comes to hand in the basket. I have paid no attention to buying big ones/little ones and they swap them around.

I only ever throw them away when they are chewed through
