Insect repellent for a baby?

We are going on holiday at the end of the month and I was wondering about an insect repellent for DD (6months). It isn't malarial or anything, but there might be midges and things. I don't really want to use something containing DEET... Any suggestions? Someone suggested citronella incense but this doesn't seem very practical for walking about...

Erm... Switzerland. Perhaps I am being insane to think that insect repellent is even required?!

I bought a roll on citronella repellent when DD was small for our holiday in the Caribbean.
