Discipline/naughty step whilst out and about

Hi all,

I am looking for some advice on discipling my DS whilst out and about - mainly at friends and family tbh.

My DS is a confident and happy little boy, but he does go through stages of reverting in terms of his behaviour. At the moment its hitting people, which he did a couple of months ago, we sorted it (namely by telling him off then walking away and ignoring him pus naughty step - at home only though). My issue is how to stop his hitting behaviour whilst out. He gets the bit between his teeth and will just hit out at his little friends at times.

How have others dealt with similar behaviour? Obviously in someone else's house its difficult to walk away/ignore or impose naughty step, so would you warn, count to 3 (as do with naughty step) then take him home?

Any advice much welcome :0

HI, Ds is 3 1/2 and we are now facing kicking and throwing.. the joys never end

In friends/relatives houses or softplay etc I still use the step or sit him in a chair. He gets a warning but if he continues he goes straight on the step. I tell him what he did wrong and "if you can't play nicely then you are not allowed to play"

If he ends up on the step for a third time for the same thing...we leave.

It worked for hitting so now being used for kicking....heres hoping

good luck
