my dd has just turned 2 and from being a pretty good eater, has been uninterested in food for about 3 weeks now. she will eat the odd sausage or a bit of pasta but refuses all 'proper' meals and will not even eat fruit now, which she used to love. she has no problem with crisps or humzinger fruit sticks which she enjoys. she drinks formula milk as she doesnt like cows milk. dont know if i should take her to the doctor or just wait it out? i would welcome advice from others

I would cut out snacks. Don't have crisps in the house. Serve the meal, don't make a fuss if she doesn't touch it but just let her get down.DON'T serve snacks. If she says she is hungry just say mildly 'I'm not surprised-you didn't eat your dinner'and change the subject.Do the same at the next meal. She won't starve.

she doesnt snack as such but i have been giving her bits of cheese or fromage frais etc when she doesnt eat in place of meals as am worried she is not eating, but i guess she wont starve herself.

Why not put some grated cheese on the table with her meal and give her a fromage frais for pudding? She will then get used to the idea of eating at mealtimes. If you are worried about her not eating, put some fruit in bowls to have as a snack, slices of orange or grapes etc.
