Struggling with newborn and 3yo twins fighting

Hi,

Sorry, this has probably been done to death but can anyone give me some advice on handling the fighting between my twin girls?

I have a newborn baby and I'm pretty sure this is probably just a standard attention seeking thing. I didn't think it would be this bad though as they have had to share my attention from day 1.

Although they clearly love each other a lot (they get upset if they don't know where the other one is) but recently the fighting has started getting way OTT. They used to just give each other the odd shove but recently it has been hair pulling, biting, really nasty stuff.

I'm at the point where I almost can't even be bothered to discipline them any more as it isn't working and I don't know what to do.

Thanks.

It could be frustration. Perhaps you've not been out as much with the arrival of the newborn and they're just getting a little irritated with each other (like a married couple!)

Do they socialise seperately without each other, ie. do they get a little time away from each other and some one on one time with mum and dad?
