Toddler + new baby = Stressed out 2 year old

My DS 2:6months is still seeming to be finding his 10 week old new brother really upsetting.

He loves him, is very kind to him but his behaviour towards anyone new coming into the house is terrible. The midwife got told to "good bye, go away" as did the HV. I have had to let a student go as he has been the same to her and the stress levels when she was here was just too much.

When we are on our own or out with his pals he is a delight so I can't understand why 'new' people in his house cause such an issue. He is SO anxious.

This is also the case in the doctors/dentist and really oddly the library!

Should I be worried...??

Maybe he's really protective of his brother? maybe try telling him that the visitors are there to help his brother etc??

sounds like he's trying to control his environment. i really wouldn't worry, if you can perhaps do a few things where he is totally in charge to give him back that sense of control. it will all calm down anyway.

enjoy your lovely boys
