Screaming fits when I leave 3.5m DD

When I leave my 3.5old DD anywhere at the moment she just screams and carries on because she wants me to stay. This is happening at things that she used to be ok at being left at.

I think it is because she has just gone into the pre-school room at nursery and is finding the increased number of other children difficult but I don't know what to do about the screaming and crying.

I have to just hand her over and walk away but its horrible.

I went through the same think a couple of months back after a year of running into playgroup without so much as a backwards glance. All was very out of character as she didn't even want to stay with her beloved Grandad. It lasted about 3 weeks and then she returned to normal. I tried to talk to her about it but she said that she just missed me but now she doesn't. (I'm not sure which was worse) I think it may just be a 3.5old girl thing and hopefully she will be fine in a week or two! I feel for you though it is horrible!
