Hello, everyone, My 5 month old keeps opening and closing his mouth like a goldfish or like he's chewing gum! and he's not hungry, does anyone know what this means? Can't find much info on the web.

Thanks x

Well I'm no expert, but babies do this stuff. They are just trying out their bodies.

Have you started solids yet? If so, be careful of those fish tank pellets... like nuts, probably highly chokable upon.

But he sounds really sweet. I agree, it sounds as though he's trying to work out what to do with his mouth.

Agree he's found out he can do it so will keep doing it until the next new delight catches his attention.

Thanks everyone, probably just sees his me gassing all day and follows my example.
