I have double posted but got short shrift on chat.

My friend's baby has Plagiocephaly and the NHS will not fund treatment.
Can anyone think of anything we can be sponsered to do to raise money?

It is very noticable and they said placement or just letting it be will not help.

My ds1 has a bad case of this. The whole back of his head is completely flat so the bones have moved to the side giving him quite a big, strange shaped head.
I was told it is just cosmetic and has no effect on development so I didn't look into treatment.

My friend is worried because it is affecting his face shape and as it is so noticable and he is blonde she fears him being bullied

Right. Your poor friend. How old is her ds? Have they spoken to her about the chances of it evening itself out?
I was told that ds1's head would be 'normal' by the time he is 5. He is now 2.9, dp thinks it's getting better, I'm not so sure.

I don't have any fundraising ideas either.

Baby is now 5 months, apparently the ideal age to start treatment. Even though it ius £2000

Yes. It's the helmet isn't it? They have to wear it for 23 hours a day.
I didn't do much reading up on it tbh as didn't really like the idea of the helmet for something that was cosmetic. although i can't say it affected ds1's face, if that had been the case I may have felt differently.

Are any of your friends/family runners? They could do a local race and be sponsored to raise money.
You could have a fundraising night in your local pub.
You could have your heads/beards shaved.
You could sell cakes.
You could sell stuff at a car boot sale.
