Not wanting to change from cot to bed.

My little one is just over two years old and she doesn't want to got from a cot to a bed. Has anyone else experienced this? She has an older sister and I think it wuld be nice if they shared...I have made up a comfy floor bed to 'experiment' them sharing a room and my LO isn't interested, just wants to go back to her own cot in her own room. I am thinking about putting her travel cot up in her sisters room tonight and see if she will sleep in there....if that works at least we have managed to move her from her nursery to her sisters room...maybe I am expecting too much. Any advice?

She obviously doesn't think it would be nice if they shared!

A cot is a cosy, secure, familiar place for toddlers, don't force her out of it if she's not ready.

Dd1 went on and on about having a big bed so we got her one for xmas- she was 2 in september.

She hardly ever sleeps in it and now the cot and bed are both up in her room blocking it all up!

Wish we hadn't bothered. Though when dc3 arrives she will have to let her sister share the room so will have to go in her bed so dd2 will go in the cot but that won't be until dc3 is out of our room so she'll be around 3.3.

Unless there is a big reason for needing the room I'd leave it a while longer.

Leave her in her cot. What's the rush?
I have no idea when dd1 moved from her cot, but it was when she was ready, not some preordained time.
