toddler- so dramatic!!

started with the tantrums quite early I thought, about 20months. Thought we had got past them,with distraction etc but now we are into a new phase.
Everything seems to send him into a spin.
The washing on the line, wanted his clothes off there.
wants socks on, then he doesn't.
wants to go in the pram, then the car.
outside, inside, garden

I understand that he gets contrary, but does it have to be such a dramatic reaction?!
and he whinges for everything. Instead of saying Juice please mummy, he does this big whinging crying thing, like the world is going to end!!he does this with everything he asks for
I'm exhausted.

he's 2 1/2
And I think I'm just exhausted because it's just been me and him and we are a bit stir crazy cos he has had chickenpox. but not been unwell.
hopefully things will be better from tomorrow, he is going to nursery for a couple of hours!!

Sounds normal to me,my DD is 25 months.I can't bear whinging though so I do tell her to stop whinging,if she carries on I just completely ignore her.She has now started saying 'stop whinging' to her dolls!
