Clicky joints in 10 month old

Hi

I have a 10 month old with clicky joints, when I take her out of her highchair, pick her up in certain positions, her joints click. Is this normal? If not, what could it be a sign of?
She is 10.5 months to be precise and isn't crawling or trying to pull herself up on anything yet. Just wondering if it could be indicative of something?

Thanks!

Hi EvieBear,
My daughter has clicky joints too. Her shoulders and back clicks and pops all the time. I hate it, but it doesn't both her. I have spoken to her doctor about it and also a consultant at the hospital (as she had a problem with her hips too - which is completely unrelated) and both the Doctor and consultant said that it's fine and some children just have clicky joints and it's nothing to worry about. (My joints click quite a lot too so i wonder if it's heritary?) Though I am no expert so maybe you should go to your doctor if you are worried.

Thanks Sara79 - now you mention it, yes, my joints click too. It's all making sense! It doesn't bother her either but funnily enough we are going to the dr to get results of a hip xray she had recently. I'm hoping all is ok there...

Maybe clicky joints is heritary then! I hope that the results of your daughter's hip xray come back ok. x
