right, dd is past 6 months now and is nowhere nea sleeping through the night.

she is no problem to put down at 6 and has no sleep crutches at bed time it is waking in the night that is a problem. she wakes like clockwork at about 10pm, 1am and again at a mystery hour then sleeps until about 7 i think. i feed her at 10 (proper feed) and put her back down but usually crack at 1am and take her into bed with me where she feeds a little and goes to sleep and repeats this again later on.

dd is ebf/blw and a good weight (hv advised against sleep training until she was past 6 months)

where do i start? i realise i cant fix all this at once. if i could get her to drop one night feed i guess that would be enough for now.

Sungirltan, my DS is 7 mo, so we've recently gone through this! I found he was waking at 2 and 5 for a feed (then 1 and 4 when the clocks went back , which he never really got) (he has a dreamfeed around 10.30/11). The feeds were getting shorter and shorter, and I was getting to the point where I really felt he was taking the p*! Finally, I had had enough. For the first time he woke, I picked him up and cuddled him, sat in the nursing chair. He cried for around 20 minutes with me cuddling him, then finally dropped off to sleep. The second time he woke, I picked him up, and this time he only took 5 or so minutes to fall asleep. The next night, when he woke the first time, I picked him up and cuddled him, and again the crying lasted around 5 mins, and then the second time he woke, I gently 'shushed' and patted him in the cot. Thrid night, I patted again for the first time, and then he slept through, and has only woken in the night since during bad teething phases.

Good luck, and HTH
