6 year old ds.

never stops talking about gogo's or lego star wars.

loves reading and writing his own stories.

cant stand numbers and maths.

loves drawing and creating 'glueings' that clutter up my (very small) kitchen.

can make his wee sister do pretty much anything he wants her to (not always in a good way either!)

tends to drift of into dreamland if he finds something remotely boring (which is pretty much most of the time).

is the most polite little boy i have ever met.

he is just him

Another DS 6 here who always wants to know

what is the biggest number?
how can it be cold when it is a sunny day?
what time is it in Australia?
Was that before I came out of your tummy?
Does that mean he/she/it is dead?

Can sit still to eat when he wants to but if it is food he doesn't like too much (and there are a lot of these) he cannot stay in his chair for a minute. Knife and fork usage is, well, hopeless really.

Would spend all day on a trampoline

Will sit and concentrate when it suits him but easily distracted (except when playing with Gogos or on the computer). Cannot sit still in front of the telly, is always climbing round the room or playing with something.

Is still prone to mini tantrums and wails and whinges at the slightest provocation

Is full of love, hugs and cuddles

This thread is soooo funny!!!

Ok my ds was 5 in march...

Endless talking, talks for the sake of talking
Endless questions...for eg eastenders was on tonight and he said mummy what's gay? Why is that man crying? Is it because he's gay? I didn't even think he was paying any attention to it!!!
Adores football, playing and watching
loves rough playing/play fighting with Daddy/uncle and grandad
is VERY funny, has the most hilarious sense of humour.
Everything is farts and willys and poos, latest one is showing his bum, pulling a mooney
loves teasing his sister
loves computers, wii and ds (eek)
giggles endlessly!
Meltdowns getting fewer now, he really seems to have grown up since starting school. He is so much fun at this age!!!

I honestly think there is nothing better in life than having a cuddle with a 5/6 year old boy.

Apart of the computer bit, I'm afraid you are describing my 7yr old DS. So I'm afraid to say that is is not only normal, but... you still have to go through this for a ... well... bit longer..

I know this is a zombie thread but I found it while searching and it made me feel all warm inside. Esp as DS is just five and I was pregnant with him when this thread was started. Soppy bugger...
