Fear of heights

My 2 year old has suddenly developed a fear of heights. Where she would happily run across the climbing frame bridge she has suddenly become really fearful. I don't make a big deal about it but wanted to know if anyone else's little one do the same. Is this just a phase?

It's perfectly natural. All of mine developed a fear of heights at some point in their 2nd or 3rd year.

It's a phase in the sense that she will eventually learn to get over the fear. Meanwhile don't make a big deal of it. Respect the fact that she is afraid, but don't encourage the fear. Don't assume that she will be afraid, or remind her to be afraid.
