hya im jane, i would just like to know if there are any mums who have a child who is finding it difficult dealing with there new relationship. my son is 7 and i have been with my partner for 2 half years! my son really likes him but finds it hard when he sees us cuddle or be close, my partner has 2 daughters who took to me very well only my son has been hardwork. any advice would be great as we are going to be living together in a few weeks and i'm worried how he will cope with it permanantly.

thanks.

Hi Jane, it might be worth posting this in the relationships board? www.mumsnet.com/Talk/relationships

I'm sorry, I have no advice, but just to say that my dd (she's 4) is hard work too if she sees me and DH cuddle or kiss. In dd's case it is jealousy - she is not being the centre of attention. And DH and I have been married for 7 years - it's not a new relationship! Perhaps make a point of paying your DS lots of attention and making him aware that you still love him as much as before - perhaps he's scared you will start to love your partner more than him, as you are all moving in together.
