Using a pillow?

Does anyone know how old a child should be before I introduce a pillow to their bed?

My s is one and sleeps in a grobag and wriggles around like something not right.

But I worry that his head is not supported properly?

Baba, I believe after 12 months you can introduce a pillow, I am just about to do the same for my 1 year old son. You can buy washable anti-allergy ones from M&S and Mothercare.

Just to say, why bother? I mean my 2 yr old didn't have a pillow until she was in a big bed, she always wriggled around, and now she just chucks the pillow on the floor anyway. They don't need a pillow to support their heads, it's just comfortable (or we think it is!)

My ds is 21 months and doesn't have a pillow. I just don't see the point.

Baba, my dd1 and dd2 were both at least 2 before they had pillows in bed, and they indicated they wanted them before they were given them. There's no rush if your ds seems happy without one.

Thanks for the advice. I don't think I will bother!!

I also spent lots of money on a lovely Winnie the Poo quilt, pillow etc etc and what does baby do?

Sleep in a sleeping bag so doesn't need them!!

Now we have invested in sleeping bags up until the age of 36 months. Just hope he doesn't go off the idea!!!

Baba, how fantastic are Grobags? Love 'em. Re pillows, my mum says not to give them until child is old enough to ask for one.

DD is 14 months and doesn't have a pillow. She moved so much I can't see her staying on one anyway.

Another vote for Grobags! Best find since having DD and I now tell everyone about them . Wish I hadn't forked out on cot bedding before she was born though. I gave it all away unused

I find myself thinking "wish I had a Grobag" when I put dd to bed. Not so good for her chances of getting a sibling though, I suppose.
