DD has tiny feet, where can I buy shoes?!!

DD 15 months has tiny feet, size 2E (though moving up to 2.5E soon). She's been this size for 2 months.

She has been walking for a good few months and walks very well, but walking shoes only seem to start at size 3. In the house she is barefoot, but needs shoes for walking outdoors. She currently has cruising shoes, which are ok but not very sturdy and no good for bad weather.

Can anyone recommend good quality shoes for small feet, we really need sandals for a summer holiday and wellies for the UK.

Thanks in advance!

We found Nike trainers started at a 2 for when we had this problem with DD! We also got 'proper' wellies (just like mini adult ones so fitted at the ankle) from www.countrywidefarmers.co.uk/ where they started at a size 3 (for farmers children we were told!) and they fitted fine from when she was just a 2.5!
Good luck!!

found these

they don't all start at 1.5 but we def had some in 2.5 for DD that had 'proper soles' not just he leather pram ones!

Ours were from a Nike outlet store and we only paid about £4 a pair! Would have prefered ones with proper width fittings but nowhere did them until a 3 (and then very limited!) but we found the nike ones really adjustable with the velcro and she walked really well in them!

Brilliant, thank you!

Had this problem with all my Dss who didn't get to size 3 before 2 1/2 years old. Boot type shoes which can be done up tight round the ankle were the only option for us then.

Clarks sell from size 2.

Clarks size 2 are cruisers, they are the ones we have now. Very cute but no good for outdoors.

Batteryhuman - gosh that's really tiny! I think DD might reach a size 3 by 20 months or so.

www.shoesforkids.co.uk/

they do shoes in size 1 on

I knew they had the info on the bliss forum so went looking

my dd had cruiser shoes for outdoors to start with and they were OK. We then moved on to startrite. Can be tricky to find someone who stocks them though. We ended up going to an independent shop 45 minutes away, but they were really good and gorgeous shoes. Lots of european makes.

Thanks for the link Bronze, some lovely shoes on there. DD was prem so should have thought about Bliss!

Mothercare do size 2 and 2.5 as well. Much much cheaper than the other options I could find for my own tiny-footed DD

imamissandamummy · 05/04/2010 23:02

my dd wore babybotte shoes that start at size 0 for hard-soled walking shoes!!
They are european so check comparative sizes for UK sizing. my dd is now 24 which i thnk is a 7, so working backwards thats would be a size 18 or 19 i think you might need?

try other european brands such as aster, noel, fiorucci, fofito, gulliver, kickers etc.

my dds first summer sandals were by ' i pinco pallino' - they are gorgeous well made leather shoes in tiny sizes. Try tk maxx or ebay for some bargain good wuality shoes. whilst looking i found these, couldn't resist linking!-
so adorable!
