Am thinking of a cabin bed (2 foot with ladder and play space underneath) for my 3 year old DS who is by no means worlds best sleeper. Nearly bought just now on-line but had panic attack he may fall out of it....has anyone got good or bad tales to share? Any feedback much appreciated but please be nice I am new around here. Thanks

As a rule, if a child falls higher than their own height, you should take them to
A & E and a normal height high bunk, should be 7yrs and above.
However,I imagine your 3 yr old is probably higher than the 2 ft and cabin beds tend to have really good railings. My 5 yr has a mid sleeper which we didn't let him go into until he was 4 and we knew he could be trusted to crawl along to climb down etc.
You could do the same as a normal bed and place loads of cushions around the floor until you're satisfied he won't fall.
