Sibling nightmare

Not sure where to put this one so have opted for here and the parenting one. Casting my net wide to hopefully get advice

HELP! My son is 3 and daughter nearly 5. Every morning they are arguing, winding each other up, fighting. I get respite during the school day but almost as soon as I pick my daughter up they are at it again. Today it started before we had even got to the bottom of the road the school is on.

I have no idea to how to handle it. I am exhausted and drained from them and have realised that the only time my daughter gets me is when I am moaning and shouting at them.

There are times when they are nice to each other and do play well but these are firmly outnumbered by the time spent fighting. If I try and play a game with both of them then it descends into arguing pretty quickly and I have to admit I am so tired of it that I probably give up a bit too easily.

Any help would be hugely appreciated as I hate being a horrible mum, it makes me feel rubbish and does nothing to change their behaviour.

Have you read 'Sibling Rivalry'? There are a lots of sensible advice on how to handle it and how to teach your children to solve their differences.
