moving 3 month old from basket to cot

during daytime dd used to sleep in the carrycot which I just carried around with me where ever I needed to be in the flat.
now shes outgrown it and I want her to sleep in her cot.
she sleeps there very well during the night but during the day she doesnt fall asleep on her own in the cot and awakes after a few minutes, rolls onto her tummy and cries. when I pick her up, she quicky falls asleep on my shoulder.

any suggestions? I know she*s too young for proper sleep training, but maybe you know about something I can do to make this transition easier.

Have you tried putting the carrycot in the cot for a few days, and perhaps staying in the room with a book so that she gets used to the new location? This worked when moving DS1 from Moses basket to cot.
