I want to take DD along for a few sessions due to her reflux/colic and traumatic birth.

have found out about the centre in clerkenwell- www.fpo.org.uk/Secondary/Misc/maps.html but it's a bit far, and active birth centre ones www.activebirthcentre.com/pb/catchoosingcompltherapy.shtml#cranial but they are a bit far but if they come out the best then I will take her there but if anyone has a recommendation for one in Enfield/Haringey it would be much appreciated!

And P.S does it really work?!

I took my DD (4 yrs) to a cranial osteopath mainly because she was an open mouth breather at night, always with runny noses and I felt she never really got a good nights sleep despite having a good 11-12 hours every night. She also had the most amazing tantrums during the day lasting sometimes for 1-2 hours.
I took her to a C.O in south London and it was brilliant, I couldn't recommend it highly enough, she totally relaxed and the osteopath felt there was movement in the plates and were responding well to her treatment. We saw her behaviour change almost instantly for the better, it's almost as if she released a tension point, iykwim. During the session, my DD would take lots of deep breaths/sighs and this was a sign that things were happening apparently!
She almost always fell asleep in the car afterwards on the journey home. I can't recommend a N.London one but to answer your question...it worked for us!

I have found Deborah to be very good

Why don't you post on the MN local topic for Haringey?

I used it for my dd in the summer as she had the most shocking colic. I was desperate and would try/pay anything. I only took her twice mainly because I felt it was money for old rope and it didn't help dd at all. However all babies are different and if you are desperate then I would def give it a go. Good luck, I know how crap colic is xxx

I used to see a chap called David Kellet in Northwood for migraines.

He was absolutely fabulous.

I saw Elsworth at the Winchmore Hill Clinic on Green Lanes (for myself and my DD) and i would recommend him.

My DS had cranial when he was just a few weeks old after a traumatic labour and birth - it was remarkable the difference in him after just two sessions. Good luck thandeka. I hope you find someone you feel comfortable with.
